Problem Note 52872: SAS® Version 604 data sets cannot be read with 64-bit releases of SAS®

The following error is generated if you attempt to read data sets with the V604 LIBNAME engine when you are running a 64-bit release of SAS:
ERROR: the variable name is illegal for the version 6 file LIB.DSET.DATA
This works correctly for 32-bit releases of SAS. There is no circumvention for the problem on 64-bit releases of SAS.
